The world's first unmanned timber transport truck was born: a load of 26 tons and a battery life of 200 kilometers

Recently, Swedish startup Einride released the new unmanned truck T-log, which is completely different from the company's previous driverless truck T-pod. T-log is a short-distance truck that specializes in transporting wood. It is electrically driven and unmanned and designed to reduce the cost of short-distance timber transportation.

In fact, the T-log has no cockpit at all, so it can only be driven automatically or remotely. Its front design is very recognizable, similar to its predecessor T-pod.

Thanks to the positioning of the timber, T-log's body is designed with four vertical baffles, which can be easily loaded with a crane and weigh up to 26 tons.

The T-log is equipped with Nvidia Drive autopilot technology. In addition to driverless, it can also be remotely controlled via Phantom Auto. The 4G network provides less delay.

As for the endurance, T-log positioning and short-distance automatic transportation, so only 200 kilometers of endurance, in fact, is completely enough.

Earlier, Einride also released the long-distance driverless truck T-pod, which looks like a freezer and also has a cab-free design. It has been tested in parts of Europe and is expected to be delivered this fall.
